Description
The Urban Stab Protection Jacket provides extensive upper-body protection in a discreet, practical jacket design, making it particularly suitable for colder weather and situations where conventional overt body armour may not be preferred.
Using an advanced protective construction, the jacket provides coverage across the front and rear of the torso, extending down towards the waist. Protection is also incorporated around the sides and shoulders, while selected areas of the upper and lower arms incorporate slash-resistant protective material for additional coverage.
Particular attention has been given to areas that can otherwise create vulnerabilities in protective clothing, including additional protection around the front zipper area.
Despite its extensive protective coverage, the jacket remains relatively lightweight, starting from approximately 2.5 kg for a Small Level 1 jacket. The flexible protective material allows greater freedom of movement than traditional rigid protection, while adjustable Velcro fasteners allow the fit and positioning of the protective components to be adapted to the wearer.
The outer jacket is waterproof and windproof, with an integrated hood providing additional protection from rain and adverse weather conditions. The outer material is also designed to be easily wiped down and cleaned.
Advanced Protective Technology
The protective system used within the jacket is based on an innovative textile composite developed to combine stab resistance with reduced weight, flexibility and wearer comfort.
The protective material incorporates high-strength aramid fabric combined with a specially applied energy-absorbing polymer. This construction provides substantial protective performance while avoiding the weight and rigidity associated with conventional metal-based protection.
To improve flexibility and breathability, the protective structure takes inspiration from the overlapping armour of an armadillo. Individual protective sections overlap to create continuous coverage while allowing the material to move with the wearer.
Importantly, the overlapping sections are specifically arranged to prevent them from being easily pushed apart, helping maintain protective coverage during movement and reducing potential gaps between individual protective elements.
The result is a protective jacket designed to provide extensive coverage across the torso, sides, shoulders and selected areas of the arms, while maintaining the flexibility and mobility required for practical everyday wear.
NOTE: To reduce the weight and restrictive movement of arms the jacket has slash material only in the sleeve areas.
Our stab proof clothing is not ballistic rated and offers stab protection only. We do not sell bullet proof vest.

NOTE: We do not recommend level 2 or 3 for covert wear if you intend wearing for more than 2 hours, or need full flexibility. Level 3 is good for cell extractions, mental health facility response teams, short term assignments. For general security related work level 1 is suffice to stop knives, scissors, needle stick, glass, spikes, shivs, slashing, axe strikes up to 24 joules of force, however we are happy to supply to you with level 2 or 3 protection if ordered.

Response Wear does not guarantee Malaysian customs clearance. No refund will be provided where an order is refused, seized or returned because required approvals or authorisations were not obtained.
